“The Role of Oxygen in Wound Healing”

Objectives:

  • Describe the crucial role of oxygen in wound healing 
  • Discuss how continuous diffusion (or delivery) of oxygen (CDO) differs from TO & HBO to treat patients safely in the home
  • Identify features & benefits of CDO devices
  • Describe the latest science of how CDO affects:
  1. Enhanced performance in more chronic, weight-bearing & larger wounds
  2. Pain reduction
  3. Scarring reduction
  4. 5 Year Quality of Life Outcomes
  5. Overall decreased cost of care versus NPWT & HBO
